Famous to who? That’s what I gotta ask.
Is it just me, or is it everyone age 40 and over.
Here’s what I’m talking about. It seems like everyone I ask has a Facebook friend that has created a FAN page and then wants all of his/her highschool chums to be fans… Thus, becoming, famous.
Once again, famous to who?
There’s a guy that I guess I went to school with that has done just this. Now, I’ll keep his name to myself, if anything, so that I don’t hurt his feelings. But honestly, I don’t remember him. I mean it, I really, really don’t remember him.
Now in his defense, it could be an early onset of Alzheimer’s or some sort of brain tumor that has totally wiped out that part of my memory, but I’m doubting it. I think it’s probably just that we weren’t close friends or anything. It wasn’t a giant high school, but it was big enough to get around each day without knowing everyone that went there.
Now, the kicker is that I had to Google the guy. Because I just couldn’t place him. Sadly, there’s really nothing there either.
Because he’s NOT famous!
Ok, it appears he’s a little famous. He’s doing some small gigs here and there. But it looks like he’s paying his dues trying to GET famous.
Maybe he’ll get there. Or maybe it’s just some sort of midlife crisis thing. Dunno.
But dude, you’re not really famous. Let’s stop acting as if you are. Until you actually are anyway.
How about you guys and girls? Do you have someone famous that you went to high school with? How about someone that THINKS they are famous?
